Quickfire Q&A

What have you learned that's really surprised you about being an entrepreneur?

Rich: Everything takes longer than you think. Period. It’s not gonna happen fast. I would also say delegating has become massively important. I mean, I guess it depends on where you kind of stand in your role. Are you an executor or the visionary? For me it’s important to just kind of think up and out. So that’s where I need to stay.

What would you name this chapter of your life?

Rich: Addition through subtraction is the season I’m in. It’s just like, what are you saying no to? What are you not willing to compromise on? What are non-negotiables to you?

If you could tell your younger self something and give yourself some advice, what would it be?

Rich: My motto now is “never settle.” I wish I could have understood what that actually meant earlier. You could just make a U-turn at any time and no one’s keeping score on you. All it is is an exaggeration of what you have in your own mind. So I would probably say just never settle.
